Welcome to the Gold Valley Gun Club & Mountain Venue — the only one of its kind in the Lowveld, just 15 km outside Nelspruit. We cater to all levels of shotgun shooting, from beginners learning the basics to wing shooters wanting greater success in the field and competitive shooters looking to improve their scores.

The Range
Four disciplines, one estate.
Our sporting layout runs through the bush with a Compak field and skeet range close to the clubhouse. Everything is target-thrown, well-serviced and quietly built for the Lowveld climate.
Sporting Clays
A walking layout through the bushveld with varied targets on every stand.
Compak Sporting
Compact, fast, and endlessly re-settable — a full round in a small footprint.
Skeet
The classic. Twin trap houses and eight familiar stations.
Trap
Single and double targets thrown from a central trap house, with five stands to rotate through.

A first session is easier than most people think. We will meet you at the clubhouse, walk you through a safety briefing, and set you up with a coach for your first stand.

Coaching
Lessons that move you forward.
We run private and small-group coaching for shooters at every stage — from the first-timer working out gun mount to the seasoned competitor chasing a straight on a difficult stand. Our lessons include correct gun fit, pattern board testing, shooting technique, mental preparation, and more.
We strive to help you achieve greater success both in the field and on the clay range. And remember — it's much more fun when you break the clays.
Private lessons start at R500 for an hour, with paired sessions from R375 per person and a summer package of four lessons from R2 500.
Coached by the only NSCA-certified instructor on the African continent.

All rates are in South African Rand. Practice fees are per round of 25 targets and include your day registration.

Shooting vests, glasses and hearing protection are available. Indemnity forms are filled in and signed by all shooters before handling a shotgun.

All four sessions are taken within six weeks of the first session, for the best results and the most improvement.
We cater for every level of shotgun shooting — the beginner learning the basics, the wing-shooter after more success in the field, and the competitive shooter chasing a better score or a steadier mental game. We can also assist with correct gun fit, pattern board testing and recommendations for any stock work.
